The Utah Jazz had 11 prospects workout for them Saturday, with T.J. Leaf among them.
Leaf is projected to be selected late in the first round and had a strong season at UCLA averaging 16.3 ppg 8.2 rpg and shot 61.7 percent from the field. There are concerns about how his shooting will transition into the NBA because of his subpar 67.9 free throw percentage and the fact that he played with Lonzo Ball who makes everyone look better. His 3-point shooting was efficient at 46.6 percent, but he only attempted 1.7 threes a game. The Jazz haven’t gotten anything productive out of Trey Lyles who was supposed to be their versatile forward and if they select T.J. Leaf they’ll expect him to fill out the role Lyles was supposed to.
