UCONN shooting guard Daniel Hamilton was drafted at No. 56 by the Nuggets and acquired by the Thunder in the 2016 NBA Draft.
Hamilton reminds us a bit of Will Barton in that he can do multiple things, he’s thin and athletic and likes to play in the open floor. Shot selection and ability to convert at an efficient rate dog him, and he’ll need to tighten up his game on both ends to survive in the NBA. But with good rebounding and passing skills to go with a willingness to score, his 6’8/200 frame makes him a pro prospect. If he makes the squad in OKC he’ll be buried at the end of the bench or assigned to the D-League.
