• According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, teams continue to show an effort to move out of the mid-to-late first round.

    The draft is generally perceived to be weak, so any player chosen in the mid-to-late first round likely won’t have much an impact next season. Teams selecting in those slots appear to have a preference to veteran players who can step in and contribute immediately and are dangling their pick in an attempt to acquire one.
