Danny Green’s nightmare season continued on Thursday against the Suns, scoring just four points on 1-of-1 shooting with two rebounds, one assist and one block in 13 minutes.
Part of this is the fact the Spurs are blowing teams out at a historic level, and part of it is the Spurs not caring about getting him going. It’s a rare case of massive divergence from stable career norms, and we are getting crushed on our early round projection for Green. Still, the switch can be flipped on at any time and that will be true even if he keeps playing dead. It’s a tantalizing situation but regardless he’s not a must-own player. He’s also a guy that we’re crazy/stupid enough to hold because of that upside.
