David Lee scored 13 points 4-of-11 shooting (5-of-6 FTs) with eight rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Clippers.
Rick Carlisle tried a few things to slow down the Clippers and couldn’t find a combo that worked, but Lee did well to get his numbers in limited minutes. Zaza Pachulia saw just 15 minutes and put up two points with eight rebounds and one assist, and we like owning Lee over Pachulia right now because he seems likely to play more. Tonight’s line looked more like a David Lee line than we’ve seen since he arrived in Dallas, but he has been a mid-round value over the last two weeks and we’re calling him a must-own player in 12-team leagues to see if he can keep it up. Pachulia lost his must-own status with the slow showing tonight, but he’s still worth holding onto if your wire is barren and you need a big.
