• Dennis Schroder scored 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting (2-of-5 3PTs, 4-of-4 FTs) with one rebound, seven assists and two steals in 21 minutes off the bench on Wednesday against the Pistons.

Schroder has been bad lately. Real bad.  But if you look back for the last month he has been a late-round value on the strength of some bigger games 3-4 weeks ago.  The Hawks’ schedule is only good next week when they have four games, and then the hope if you took a flier on Schroder would be that he somehow gets some minutes if Jeff Teague gets a breather down the stretch.  That’s a lot of ifs and buts, however, if you want to target him as a flier pickup for next week there is at least some merit to the discussion.

Fantasy News

  • Tristan Thompson
    C, Cleveland Cavaliers

Tristan Thompson had 13 points, 22 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in Monday's loss to the Knicks.

Thompson dominated the boards, but it wasn't enough to save the Cavs. It was still an impressive day for someone who came into the game averaging 10.4 rebounds.

  • Kevin Love
    PF, Cleveland Cavaliers

Kevin Love ended Monday's game against the Knicks with 12 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

The Cavs were blown out by New York and Love's 4-for-14 shooting line didn't help. He's still a very valuable player overall.

  • Marcus Morris
    PF, New York Knicks

Marcus Morris scored 19 points and made a pair of 3-pointers during 30 minutes in Monday's win over the Cavs.

Morris added three rebounds and a steal while making 8-of-16 from the field. He has been fairly consistent of late but hasn't come close to matching the 38 points he scored back on January 5.

  • Julius Randle
    PF, New York Knicks

Julius Randle had 19 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal on Monday against the Cavs.

Randle was 7-for-17 from the floor and 5-for-5 on free throws. The numbers are pretty much in line with his averages this season. He came into the game shooting 45.0 percent on field goals which is down from a career mark of 49.5 percent.

  • Derrick Jones Jr.
    SF, Miami Heat

Derrick Jones Jr. is questionable to return on Monday after being poked in both eyes.

That sounds painful. James Johnson is having a solid game in the meantime. There should be a more concrete update later.

  • Rajon Rondo
    PG, Los Angeles Lakers

Rajon Rondo (fractured right ring finger) will be available to face the Celtics on Monday.

Rondo hasn't played since January 11. Quinn Cook and Alex Caruso should see their roles diminish now that he has returned. However, Rondo does not deliver consistent value on such a deep team.

  • Derrick Rose
    PG, Detroit Pistons

According to reports, the Lakers and Sixers are among the teams interested in trading for Derrick Rose.

Rose continues to be productive for the Pistons, averaging 18.3 points and 5.9 assists. His fantasy value would likely decline if a contender acquired him. Rose has said that he is happy in Detroit, but he cannot block a trade.

  • Steven Adams
    C, Oklahoma City Thunder

Steven Adams left Monday's game with a left ankle sprain and has been ruled out for the game.

The injury occurred when Clint Capela flagrantly fouled him. Mike Muscala has been picking up the slack.

  • Josh Richardson
    SF, Philadelphia Sixers

Josh Richardson scored 15 points with two rebounds, four assists, and one steal against the Nets on Monday.

Richardson committed seven turnovers on Saturday but only one in Brooklyn. He shot 6-for-12 from the floor and 1-for-2 from the perimeter. Richardson is not a superstar but is definitely a key piece of the Sixers' rotation.

  • Al Horford
    PF, Philadelphia Sixers

Al Horford (left hand sprain) managed to play 26 minutes on Monday, ending with 19 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two blocks.

Horford shook off a rough game on Saturday in this return to form. He has failed to reach double digit points in only two contests during January. Horford is also worth keeping around in fantasy for his defense.
