Donovan Mitchell hit 9-of-20 shots off the bench in Friday’s loss to the Raptors, finishing with 25 points to go with three rebounds, two steals, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.
This is a great line for the rookie as it shows he might have a stat set hidden somewhere, after all. The Jazz are going to need him for at least two weeks and they’re not the deepest squad — or the best at scoring — so there are a few ways that Mitchell can stay in the mix. We’re not going to turn the page on stat set concerns but 3.5 money counters per game in 24.6 mpg isn’t half bad, and he won’t shoot his current 36.8 percent all year long. It has been good enough for low-end value in 12-14 team leagues so far. He’s a must-own player in 14-team formats.
