E’Twaun Moore scored eight points on 3-of-7 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and four assists in 22 minutes off the bench on Thursday against the Rockets.
It was Aaron Brooks (three points, three assists, 16 minutes) that got the start for Derrick Rose (elbow) at the start of the third quarter but it was clearly Moore that fills his shoes the best. Rose is probably going to try and play in Saturday’s crucial game against the Pistons, but it’s possible he has finally broken down and Moore gets the majority of the run.
Adding Moore will be tricky because he needs some help from other guys being injured, but he could very well end up being a key cog in the next two weeks while providing late-round value. Justin Holiday (eight points, three boards, one steal, one three, 10 minutes) was also a key figure in the fourth quarter and would be a cut below Moore but is also worth watching.
