Garrett Temple scored five points on 1-of-3 shooting with three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 24 minutes off the bench in Tuesday’s win over the Blazers.
Temple dealt with foul trouble but Dave Joerger was hesitating to use him anyway. It makes no sense as the journeyman deserves consideration for defensive awards at the end of the year and generally makes smart decisions with the ball on offense. The team clearly plays better with him on the floor and though it won’t show up in the box score, we can’t help you if you don’t understand he should be playing 33 mpg or more.
