George Hill scored 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including a three) with five boards and one block in the Kings’ 86-82 win over the Blazers on Friday.
Hill has been encumbered by the Kings’ slow, high-post system but as things have been tweaked and improved his game has opened up a bit. He has been so bad in fantasy leagues that he’s well outside the top-200, averaging 8.5 points with 0.9 treys, 3.0 boards, 2.9 assists and 0.8 steals in 25.7 mpg, but once the system issues clear he has mid-round upside. We can’t call him a must-own player in 12-team formats but he’s a bit better than being a luxury stash, too. The Kings still have time to get out of their own way on this one.
