Jamal Crawford cooked the Wizards for 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the field and 3-of-3 from the line, draining four more triples, handing out six assists and grabbing four rebounds in 25 minutes Sunday.
Crawford has been red-hot recently and the return of Blake Griffin (suspension) should not hurt his value at all as he is still the focal point of the second unit. Owners need to continue to ride his hot hand but must also be cautious for rest as the Clippers play six games in the next 10 days.
Austin Rivers was coming off a 32 point game and played 18 minutes scoring 10 (4-of-12 from the field, 1-of-2 from the line) in this one to go along with one 3-pointer, four boards and four assists. Rivers’ role in the rotation just muddies the roles of Wes Johnson (25 minutes, 2 points on 1-of-6 shooting, six boards two steals) and Jeff Green (14 minutes, 2-of-4 for four points). All three of these bench players should remain on waiver wires, with Rivers possibly getting a look in another potential spot-start.
