Brandon Jennings started for injured Derrick Rose (ankle) in Sunday’s quadruple-overtime game against the Hawks, scoring 18 points on 5-of-15 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in a career-high 53 minutes.
Rose is day-to-day and sounds closer to doubtful for Tuesday’s game so Jennings probably gets one more start at least. Between Jennings and Justin Holiday (15 points, 5-of-15 FGs, 5-of-13 3PTs, nine boards, two assists, one steal, 36 minutes), the former is the safer play but we actually like Holiday better as a pickup because of a stronger stat set. All bets could be off for both players when Rose returns.
