Jerami Grant started at small forward on Monday against the Wizards, scoring 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting with six rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 35 minutes of action.
Grant missed both of his 3-point attempts and hit 2-of-4 threes, highlighting his limitations as a shooter. His efficiency has been the thing that holds him back in fantasy leagues, where he has top-150 value on the season but hasn’t been able to force his way into 12-team standard leagues. Hollis Thompson (illness) and Jahlil Okafor (shin) were both out tonight, so those minutes are probably coming down, but if the Sixers want to feed him more minutes he has some interesting upside. And after a summer’s worth of shooting practice, he has even more upside after that, assuming he doesn’t get lost in the wash with Dario Saric and Joel Embiid expected to play next season.
