Jerian Grant started for Rajon Rondo (ankle) and scored 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting (2-of-5 3PTs, 4-of-4 FTs) with three rebounds, two assists and five steals in Tuesday’s blowout win over the Blazers.
Watch out Rajon Rondo. We don’t want to blow things out of proportion because the Bulls aren’t likely to make any sudden moves here, but Rondo has been a brutal basketball player for the last two years and a lot of it comes down to not being able to accept his limitations. He’s really a backup at best in this league and the sooner the Bulls accept it the sooner they’ll start playing to their potential, and Grant could be a guy that steps into that vacuum now that he is out of the toxic Knicks situation. You’re not running to add Grant but if this starts to become a trend we’ll let you know.
