Jerryd Bayless was coming off a pair of strong nights but couldn’t keep it going on Friday against the Wolves, scoring just nine points on 2-of-9 shooting (including a three) with one rebound, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes.
Between Bayless’ cold shooting and O.J. Mayo going 4-of-8 from the field (all threes), owners riding the Bayless wave got caught up in the wash. As long as Michael Carter-Williams’ patella injury continues to be hazy, there is still good reason to consider Bayless as a probable late-round value during that time. Mayo, on the other hand, needs a prolonged run of productivity for us to consider an add anytime soon.
