John Jenkins drew the start for Brandon Knight (illness) on Friday against the Kings, scoring 11 points on 4-of-10 shooting (including three treys) with eight rebounds and two assists in 29 minutes.
If Knight theoretically missed Saturday’s game against the Celtics, Jenkins would go from one of the league’s worst defenses to a much better unit. Keep that in mind when weighing a spot start or DFS lineup. Devin Booker enjoyed life without Knight in the favorable matchup, scoring 26 points on 11-of-21 shooting with two threes, five boards, four assists, two steals and one block. He actually enjoyed it a bit too much with nine turnovers in the blowout loss.
