Justin Holiday scored 12 points on 3-of-8 shooting (2-of-6 3PTs, 4-of-5 FTs) with six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 36 minutes in Friday’s win over the Wolves.
Holiday has slid over the last month as his shooting has slid. He has hit just 35.4 percent of his shots in 33.8 mpg and that’s what happens when he’s asked to do too much. Holiday gets better as the rotation improves and he’s a top-80 player on the season and is a must-own player.
January 19, 2020, 1:06 amLeBron JamesSF, Los Angeles Lakers
LeBron James dominated the Rockets in a 124-115 victory with 31 points, five rebounds, 12 assists and two steals.
James carried the Lakers to a victory without Anthony Davis. James has bounced back this year and is putting up first-round value again. Expect more of the same moving forward for LeBron.
January 19, 2020, 1:03 amKarl-Anthony TownsC, Minnesota Timberwolves
Karl-Anthony Towns scored 12 points in Saturday's loss to the Raptors, chipping in six rebounds, six assists, and a block on 4-of-11 shooting.
Following last nights 27 point game on his return from injury, KAT was flat tonight and did not contribute much on either side of the ball. This is nothing to worry about, though, as he is just playing under 30 minutes since his return. Once he finds his legs he should be back to returning first-round value for fantasy owners.
January 19, 2020, 12:59 amAndrew WigginsSF, Minnesota Timberwolves
Andrew Wiggins triple-doubled in Saturday's loss to the Raptors, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, one steal and three turnovers.
The triple-double was a nice touch to an ok shooting night for Wiggins, who finished 6-of-14 from the field. He normally does not produce much beyond scoring so tonight's novelty is a welcome sign for owners.
January 19, 2020, 12:57 amKyle KuzmaPF, Los Angeles Lakers
Kyle Kuzma scored 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting to go with eight rebounds and three 3-pointers in a 124-115 victory over the Rockets on Saturday.
Kuzma headed to the locker room in the first half with an ankle injury but was able to return to the game after getting it taped up. Kuzma can be streamed for points, rebounds and threes while Anthony Davis is out, but he doesn't do enough when the Lakers are at full strength and can be dropped once Davis is back in the lineup.
January 19, 2020, 12:55 amRobert CovingtonSF, Minnesota Timberwolves
Robert Covington scored 22 points in Saturday's loss to the Raptors, finishing with eight rebounds, one assist and two steals.
Covington took a team-high 20 field goal attempts and converted on eight of the them. Normally considered a defensive specialist it was nice to see Covington so active on the offensive end. His will continue to provide a modest amount of points, rebounds, threes, and steals for fantasy owners.
January 19, 2020, 12:50 amEric PaschallPF, Golden State Warriors
Eric Paschall started on Saturday and scored 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting with nine rebounds, two steals and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.
Paschall started for Draymond Green (finger) and showed what he can do if given the minutes. Paschall has scored double digits in five straight games but his minutes aren't consistent enough to trust when Draymond Green is in the lineup. Paschall would be a strong add if Draymond Green misses extended time.
January 19, 2020, 12:43 amD'Angelo RussellPG, Golden State Warriors
D'Angelo Russell double-doubled on Saturday with 26 points on 9-of-21 shooting to go with 12 assists, two steals and four triples.
Russell has only shot 40 percent in his four games since returning from his shoulder injury, but he's fine everywhere else with averages of 23.0 points, 8.3 assists and 3.8 threes. Russell should post mid-round value moving forward and doesn't have too much risk of resting down the stretch like Draymond Green.
January 19, 2020, 12:41 amJarrett CulverG-F, Minnesota Timberwolves
Jarrett Culver scored 26 points in Saturday's loss to the Raptors, finishing with four rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks.
The 26 points is a career-high for Culver, whom finished 8-of-16 from the field. He contributed in all categories in this one, with three total steals and blocks, but only registered one steal. Regardless, this scoring output is a nice boon for his confidence and he should look forward to continuing to keep this momentum going forward as the season progresses.
January 19, 2020, 12:34 amJordan PoolePG, Golden State Warriors
Jordan Poole set a new career-high on Saturday with 21 points on 8-of-19 shooting to go with three rebounds, two assists and four triples in 28 minutes.
Poole is tough to trust but he's scored double digits in each of his past four games and has hit 13 threes during that time. He can be deployed as points and threes streamer while he's hot, but there is little chance Poole holds standard-league value for long stretches.
January 19, 2020, 12:34 amTobias HarrisSF, Philadelphia Sixers
Tobias Harris scored 15 point sin Saturday's win over the Knicks, finishing with eight rebounds and three assists.
In a ho-hum game, Harris was still able to contribute some points and boards. He did not register any defensive stats, but did connect four from downrange. With Joel Embiid out with injury, Harris should be the Sixers primary scorer. Look for him to rebound in the next one.
