Lance Stephenson played 28 minutes off the bench on Monday against the Cavs, scoring 17 points on 8-of-15 shooting (including a three) with seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
Stephenson has been approaching late-round value in recent days as the Grizzlies have become more and more depleted, but this result is an aberration with so many guys taking the night off. Mike Conley’s injury could lead to consistent low-end, late-round value if he remains out, but as of now all we know is that he will be re-evaluated in 3-5 days. The Grizzlies could easily choose to rest Conley for the playoffs liberally, so Stephenson is worth a look for the chance he can keep up his low-end standard league production. In a heavy points league he’s a must-own guy.
