Lou Williams scored 17 points on 3-of-9 shooting (2-of-6 from deep, 9-of-11 from the line) with four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 24 minutes off the bench on Tuesday against the Kings.
While us and others were shoveling dirt onto Sweet Lou’s grave he apparently didn’t get the notice. Byron Scott isn’t quite ready to let the kids have unfettered access to run and no owners of D’Angelo Russell (14 points, three rebounds, three assists, four steals) and Jordan Clarkson (12 points, one board, one assist, one steal, two threes, 5-of-16 FGs) should not panic. But their 25 minutes a piece should be a reminder that it won’t be smooth, and at the same time it should still be profitable. Hopefully they get it out of their system during this two-game week in which they are on benches. As for Williams, he’s worth a look for top 100-140 value down the stretch. He can’t face the Kings every night.
