Mario Chalmers scored 14 points on 4-of-13 shooting (1-of-4 3PTs, 5-of-5 FTs) with one rebounds, three assists and two steals in 29 minutes off hte bench on Sunday against the Suns.
Chalmers has been a late-round value on the year as regular Hoop Ball readers know from all of our reminder blurbs, and there was a tiny little space where we lost the faith because Lance Stephenson (13 points, five boards, two assists, one steal, one three) started to cut into his minutes. But the carrot here has always been the chance he gets a bigger role for the now uptempo and depleted Grizz, and that has started to happen. He’s a mid-round value over the last two weeks and they’re running out of guys. He should be owned in all standard formats for his current production, but most importantly the chance he can keep this mid-round value up down the stretch. Stephenson has some 14-team appeal after averaging 23.0 minutes, 12.0 points, 4.4 boards, 2.1 assists, 0.6 steals and great percentages to boot.
