Richaun Holmes shot 7-of-12 from the field on Thursday, finishing with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block before fouling out after 27 minutes of action.
Holmes wasn’t exactly in foul trouble, as there were one or two ticky-tack whistles and he picked up his sixth to try and extend the game off an inbound play with six seconds to go. He continued to look good, though the pick and roll game with Ben Simmons isn’t quite as smooth as it could be. It’s the type of wrinkle that would be ironed out with more playing time. While Holmes is unlikely to get this much run on most nights, he simply needs to be deployed while Joel Embiid is nursing his nagging back injury. With The Process a coin flip seemingly every night as of late, it’s opened the door for Holmes to produce. In terms of total value, Holmes is a top-65 player in the last week. Shame on you if he’s still floating around on waivers.
