Rudy Gobert snapped out of a funk in the Jazz’s 103-69 win over the Suns on Thursday, scoring nine points on 4-of-6 shooting with 16 rebounds and three blocks in 30 minutes of action.
Gobert has been playing below the cut line in 12-team formats and prior to tonight he had as many games in the month of March without a block as he did games with blocks. The patchwork theory around here is that he’s not fully healthy following his knee injury, and that he put on a bit too much muscle in the offseason and it has hindered his ability to fly around and block shots. Tonight’s result helps keep him in lineups and in desperate situations — from being dropped.
