Salah Mejri will get the start in Wednesday’s game against the Blazers.
Mejri has earned this start and now we get to see what he can do when he’s actually listed on the scouting report. In 24 games played this season, he has averaged 9.6 mpg and made 64.6 percent of his shots. He has a high volume 63.3 percent mark from the foul line on 1.3 attempts per game which is just about 4.0 attempts per game over 36 minutes. He’s getting about a block every 10 minutes he plays and that will calm down with each additional minute, and we’re going to guess he gets about 20 minutes tonight.
Mejri is worth a look if you need to stream in a big, but this is very much a prove-it game for him unless we learn of an injury to Zaza Pachulia, who can be dropped. David Lee’s minutes shouldn’t be impacted too much.
Salah Mejri figures Blazers not might attack paint as much after he had 6 blocks Sunday. "If they will do that, I will be waiting for them."
