Sergio Rodriguez scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting (including four threes) with three rebounds, five assists and three steals over 25 minutes in Monday’s loss to the Kings.
Rodriguez did well in the favorable matchup and so did other perimeter shooters like Ersan Ilysaova (17 points, four boards, two threes, two steals) and Dario Saric (12 points, nine boards, two threes, one steal). Robert Covington wasn’t able to cash in on the offensive side with just five points on 2-of-6 shooting, but he hauled in six boards to go with two steals and two blocks to keep owners from rioting. Saric will struggle to produce against teams that aren’t going to get coaxed into a playground matchup as the Kings were tonight, at least until they get rid of some depth.
