Garrett Temple started for injured Bradley Beal (leg) in Friday’s loss to the Pelicans, scoring 10 points on 4-of-8 shooting (including two threes) with zero rebounds, three assists and three steals in 28 minutes.
Temple needs optimal conditions to be a late-round value and unless we hear something bad on Beal there’s no reason to run to the wire in most standard leagues. Jared Dudley fits in this same bucket even though he’s a cut or two better in the fantasy sense. He scored eight points with two threes, three boards, three assists and four steals in 38 minutes last night, and this past week he has been a late-round value with numbers that probably can’t be sustained. That said, if Beal does miss time then he’ll be somebody to look at.
