• JaKarr Sampson started and scored six points on 3-of-6 shooting with 16 rebounds and one steal in Wednesday’s loss to the Cavs.

    Sampson covered LeBron James and predictably was able to slow him down a bit, as his size-speed profile fits well and he’s in the league because of his defense.  His two-way deal keeps him from having a path to a long-term stability with the club at this time, but he fits a gaping hole the Kings have at the 3/4 slot and if anything changes he might one day join the rotation.  For now it’s going to be spot duty here and there.
