Toney Douglas scored 22 points on 6-of-14 shooting (4-of-10 3PTs, 6-of-6 FTs) with five rebounds, eight assists and three steals in Monday’s loss to the Warriors.
That Douglas did this to the Warriors is noteworthy and at the same time the blowout nature of the game and the garbage-time element are definitely asterisks. But that’s the way the Pelicans are going to roll for the rest of the year. Teams aren’t going to get up for them and there could be a ton of random lines not just from Douglas but across the board. He fits the definition of flier add but this is the type of flier owners should be interested in — the potential to go off like this and an easy guy to pitch away if Norris Cole returns and renders him useless.
