Toney Douglas saw just 19 minutes of action in Saturday’s loss to the Bucks, scoring five points on 2-of-4 shooting (including a three) with six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
This is a poor man’s Norris Cole (back) line if we’ve ever seen one. The fact that Alvin Gentry went to Luke Babbitt for 38 minutes should be a sign that Douglas is a stop-gap solution for owners at best. But as long as Cole is out, then he’ll be worth a look for potential late-round value on that night. Dante Cunningham didn’t live up to our half-hearted DFS recommendation with nine points, three rebounds and one block in 30 minutes. Cunningham has two good games in his last seven so owners can watch him from the wire in reasonably sized formats.
