Tyler Johnson started at point guard with Goran Dragic (calf) and Beno Udrih (neck) out for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards, scoring 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting (including two threes) with two boards and five assists in 35 minutes.
Johnson did a lot better tonight than the previous outing where his lack of ball-handling skills was accentuated on a Heat team lacking ball-handlers. He’s a top-150 player this season in just 23.8 mpg and that’s probably the best way to look at his value going forward. A big injury will put him in a must-own stance but until then he’ll be a hard guy to trust outside of four-game weeks.
