The Suns dropped a close one at home on Wednesday but Tyler Ulis had a solid night with 16 points, five rebounds and eight assists while shooting 6-for-8 from the floor.
Ulis also didn’t commit a turnover and won the minutes battle with Mike James by a 29 to 19 margin. He’s been coming on strong and deserves a spot on your standard league rosters, as anyone who snagged him down the stretch last year can attest. Ulis looks to be playing more under control this time around and it’s going to help his efficiency in a big way. The superior player to James, Ulis should be able to hang onto the starting job from here on out and has a shot at top-125 numbers after climbing into the top-150 over the last week. It’s been a slow climb but Ulis’ path to value has cleared up nicely considering where he started the year.
