Willie Cauley-Stein scored 26 points off the bench in Wednesday’s loss to the Lakers, hitting 10-of-14 shots (6-of-8 FTs) with six rebounds, one assist and two steals in 28 minutes.
Cauley-Stein is turning into one of the more interesting players in the NBA, if anything because of his free-flowing commentary that is often audacious in its lack of self-awareness. He wants more touches clearly and admits in the video below to playing apprehensively when near the rim, and the lapses in areas of rebounding and defense are the concerns for both the Kings and fantasy owners. That said, his offensive game has really improved and there is more than enough upside to call him a must-own player, despite expected inconsistency.
Interesting comments tonight from Willie Cauley-Stein following his season-scoring high in Kings win over Lakers. Finding consistency & why he’s not real active around the rim
