Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson stated during his introductory press conference that he’s looking for Jeremy Lin to take on a leadership role with the team and to be the full-time point guard.
Jeremy Lin returns to the state of New York in his prime and will try to revive Linsanity from his 2012 season with the Knicks. He does face a little bit of competition with Greivis Vasquez now on the roster along with rookie point guard Isaiah Whitehead and Shane Larkin so perhaps his leash won’t be as long in reality as Atkinson says it is. Regardless, Lin put up an impressive campaign earning sixth-man of year consideration with the Charlotte Hornets in 2015/16 and will be a popular mid-round pick with 30+ minutes per game. His ability to average a steal and a three per game with a steady diet of assists will make him a popular target.
