The Celtics and Al Horford have agreed to a four-year, $113 million deal.
This is huge for their standing in the Eastern Conference and it will put a whole new spin on the Kevin Durant discussion, even if he still sounds like he’s favored to stay in OKC. The Celtics are certainly in the Finals discussion next season. This means that Paul Millsap stays in Atlanta and Dwight Howard’s massive salary just claimed its first victim.
Sources: Tremendous momentum for Hawks in final hours, w/ Horford returning and giving Hawks chance. In end, Hawks, Horford $6M total apart.
