Bobby Portis scored 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting (1-of-3 from deep) with 13 rebounds and one block in Saturday’s Summer League win over the Celtics.
Portis is custom built to do this against lesser competition and the big question for him this season is if he can turn the corner against NBA-level competition. His stat set wants to flirt with versatility but as of right now he doesn’t do enough in the money counting stat categories of threes, steals and blocks to have big upside. That said, the Bulls need him to play big this year so he’ll be worth a look in the late rounds of drafts.
