In speaking at a charity event in Baltimore, Carmelo Anthony said he’s “at peace” with the current Knicks situation and revealed that he hasn’t spoken to the team’s management this summer.
It seems odd that Anthony hasn’t met with the team regarding his future, as his name his been constantly in the rumor mill and the Knicks have reportedly been close on deals that would’ve sent him out of town. As for now, Melo does seem content waiting for things to play out. He’s already outlasted Phil Jackson, which is a victory in itself, and will simply wait for one of the teams on his wish list to acquiesce to New York’s demands. With Cleveland and Portland seemingly out of the running, it’s looking like Houston or OKC if a trade is to be made.
