Nets PF Chris McCullough scored 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting (2-of-2 3PTs, 4-of-7 FTs) with eight rebounds and one block in Monday’s Summer League win over the Hawks.
McCullough is a unique prospect in that he shoots threes but can’t hit free throws, and he has shown the propensity for big defensive stat lines. The Nets are a bit of a cluster at power forward but we’d imagine that Trevor Booker gets his 25 mpg and we also like Justin Hamilton, and it’s our guess that McCullough also gets his fair share of minutes this season but the early going might be rough. He’s certainly on the radar as a late round flier pick in this early month of July, but a lot can change between now and draft season. Dynasty owners in active leagues may want to consider a speculative add.
