• The Wolves and Cole Aldrich have agreed to a three-year, $22 million deal.

We projected him at two years and $8 million per year and this is right in line with that.  We also had Aldrich ranked at No. 7 in our free agent center rankings because of the bargain we knew he would be, and because he’s practically guaranteed to put up big numbers whenever he gets minutes.

The problem with Aldrich has always been his knees — not his game — and the way that gets managed is by him being a strict backup.  The Wolves are well-stocked in their frontcourt with Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng, and Cole will slide right in to an 18-22 minute role.  This is a quality signing for a Wolves squad that is already going to be the sexy name in preseason prediction season.
