Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scored three points on 1-of-5 shooting with eight rebounds, four assists, seven steals and five turnovers, and rookie guard Isaiah Whitehead scored 10 points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, one assist, three steals, three blocks and seven turnovers in Saturday’s Summer League win over the Cavs.
Hollis-Jefferson was poised to crack the top-150 last season at around 25 mpg so clearly he’s a player of interest this season, whether or not he addresses his offensive flaws. Whitehead’s fantasy value is built in a similar mold, as he brought back 2.6 combined steals and blocks in college last year but also has major efficiency problems at 37.9 percent from the field last year. Whitehead has a shot at rotational minutes for a shallow Nets squad, at least as they’re constituted right now.
