Kevin Durant scored 37 points on 12-of-24 shooting (1-of-4 3PTs, 12-of-12 FTs) with nine rebounds and two assists in the Thunder’s 113-99 series-clinching win over the Spurs in Game 6 on Thursday.
Durant was great and so were all of his teammates. Russell Westbrook scored 28 points on 10-of-21 shooting with 12 assists, Serge Ibaka scored eight points but more importantly he had 10 boards and three blocks, and Andre Roberson hit 5-of-8 shots (including three treys) to finish with 14 points, seven boards, one steal and two blocks. Steven Adams has been great for a couple of months but the casual viewers got to see it up close and he had 15 points with 11 boards, two steals and one block in the win. The role players for the Thunder will be the measure of whether or not they can compete with or beat the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.
