According to Fred Katz, Enes Kanter is expected to pick up his player option for the 2018-19 season.
This is an easy decision for Kanter, since the contract will pay him $18.6 million next year. Given his steady role with the Thunder, Kanter will still be a reliable source of points, rebounds, and field goal percentage in the early late rounds of drafts.
A source with knowledge of the situation told me "I'd be shocked" if Kanter doesn't pick up his player option next year. It's worth > $18M.
