ESPN reported Tuesday that the Rockets and Hornets have had talks regarding Dwight Howard.

Marc Stein reports that the sides have not found a workable deal and it’s important to know that teams are in talks all of the time.  Stein’s full report then included a source expressing pessimism that a deal could get done.  Howard’s situation is among the most interesting in the NBA because he thinks he’s worth a whole lot more than he is, and he’s going to cost tremendous money in free agency.  Owners may as well treat this as a non-item for now.
