The Clippers are still in the mix to re-sign Jamal Crawford but according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN he is weighing at least two offers, and Chris Broussard of ESPN reports that the Mavs, Magic, Nets, Sixers and Warriors have all reached out to him.
The Warriors are interesting just because it seems unfair to add an offensive talent like Crawford to that squad, and the rest of these squads and really any team that pays up for Crawford needs to be looking at the playoffs. He can’t play more than 23 mpg in the regular season and he’s going to need to take games off. If he can keep his legs charged up for the playoffs all we have to do is look at Richard Jefferson to see what an aging but previously super-talented player can do in the right situation.
Shelburne adds that she thinks he can get $12-16 million per year and we predicted $9 million over three years. If a team decides to shorten the deal we can see the $12 million but anything beyond that is crazy talk.
