Josh Richardson scored 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting (including three treys) with two rebounds, one assist and one block in 37 minutes of action during the Heat’s win over the Wizards on Wednesday.
Richardson won’t get a lot of love for the top-125 season he had when on the floor but it was much better than the numbers will show, even if he probably did more damage to fantasy squads than most draft picks did. The problem was the waiting for him to get healthy compounded by the rust and rehab issues when on the floor, only to see him go out again and still be worth a hold — only to have to dump him right before he got back on track in the fantasy playoffs. The firm takeaway is that he has the talent and probably the role to be a very productive fantasy asset, but that this just wasn’t his year.
