Adrian Wojnarowski reports Josh Richardson is finalizing a 4-year, $42 million contract extension with the Heat.
This extension was rumored for some time and is ultimately a great move by both Josh Richardson and the organization. Richardson is potentially the sixth man in Miami but has a shot at starting as he’ll compete for the Small Forward spot with Justise Winslow, next to the high volume shooting of Dion Waiters. Richardson ended his 2016-17 season on a high note, averaging 15 points and a little more than two steals a game in the month of April. If that is a preview of what’s to come, he could be a fantasy asset, currently projecting as a top 100 player.
