Unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore and the Hawks agreed to a four-year, $70 million deal on Friday.
The Hawks know that Al Horford is gone — or so it seems — and they’re spending their money wisely. We have Bazemore ranked as our No. 2 free agent small forward on the board and he’ll have both continuity and Coach Mike Budenholzer on his side. He should be in line for a career-best season as he’s armed with a big contract and Horford has turned into Dwight Howard (again, it seems).
Bazemore will have a player option on the fourth season of his deal to return to Atlanta, sources tell The Vertical.
