• Kevin Garnett hasn’t told the Wolves if he will be playing this season or not.

Wolves owner Glen Taylor said he expects to hear from him in the next few weeks and things are rocky in Minnesota right now after KG disagreed with the way that Sam Mitchell was let go.  That’s interesting because he also has a relationship with Tom Thibodeau dating back to his Minnesota days, and there is probably a whole bunch we don’t know about that doesn’t really matter here.  Garnett probably doesn’t have it in him to play, but we selfishly want to see him traveling with that team as a mentor for a promising Wolves squad.

Fantasy News

  • Aubrey Dawkins
    PG, New Orleans Pelicans

The Pelicans have signed and waived Aubrey Dawkins.

This was a move to get Dawkins eligible for the Pel's G-League team and doesn't have much significance in fantasy.

  • Troy Williams
    SF, Phoenix Suns

The Suns both signed and waived Troy Williams on Sunday.

He spent last season on a two-way contract with the Kings and this was a move done to make him eligible to play for the Suns in the G-League. He won't hold any fantasy value this season.

  • Donta Hall
    PF, Detroit Pistons

The Pistons have waived Donta Hall and Tre'Shawn Thurman.

Hall was signed to an Exhibit 10 and he just wasn't needed on the Pistons' active roster and the same goes for Thurman. Neither one of them should have any fantasy value this season.

  • Tyus Battle
    PG, Minnesota Timberwolves

The Wolves have waived Tyus Battle and Barry Brown Jr.

They're still one over the roster maximum so they'll have to waive one more guy but regardless this move doesn't hold much weight in the realm of fantasy.

  • Tyler Ennis
    PG, Toronto Raptors

The Raptors have signed and waived Tyler Ennis.

Ennis will head to the G League and look to reestablish himself by working with the development staff at Raptors 905. It's been a while since we've seen Ennis hit the radar, as he spent last season in Turkey.

  • Dion Waiters
    SG, Miami Heat

The Heat have suspended Dion Waiters one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

In the team's release, Pat Riley said, "“There were a number of unacceptable incidents this week, culminating with his unprofessional conduct on the bench last night.” Waiters had been away from the team for personal reasons but apparently had issues after returning. With Duncan Robinson drawing preseason starts, Tyler Herro drawing rave reviews and Kendrick Nunn putting up some big lines, Waiters is going to have a tough time holding off the competition for minutes, let alone return fantasy value.

  • Ray Spalding
    PF, Houston Rockets

Rockets have waived Ray Spalding, Matur Maker and Shamorie Ponds.

Several NBA teams have shown interest in Spalding so he may end up on a roster. Otherwise, Spalding, Maker and Ponds will likely see time in the G League. None are worth drafting in standard leagues.

  • Jalen McDaniels
    PF, Charlotte Hornets

Hornets have converted the contract of second round pick Jalen McDaniels into a two-way contract.

McDaniels will likely see the majority of the time in the G League. However, the Hornets roster is rather thin and may get some call ups. There is no need to draft him until we see him in action.

  • Allen Crabbe
    SG, Atlanta Hawks

Allen Crabbe (right knee arthroscopy) is unlikely to play until mid-to-late-November, according to coach Lloyd Pierce.

Peirce will see how Crabbe performs once he starts practicing before integrating him into games. He underwent surgery in April and has yet to be completely recovered. He will likely see a limited role and can be left undrafted.

  • Caleb Martin
    PG, Charlotte Hornets

Caleb Martin has agreed to a partially guaranteed three-year deal with the Hornets.

Martin went undrafted but has now joined twin brother Cody on the team. He will likely spend some time in the G League.
