Klay Thompson is willing to accept a lesser role in the upcoming season with Kevin Durant joining the Warriors.
Thompson was asked if he preferred higher volume shots or fewer open shots. He responded with fewer open shots which should translate into higher efficiency for the all-star shooting guard. A dip in scoring is a given for his fantasy owners and will negatively affect his draft stock but it may be buoyed by the improved efficiency. He already shot an impressive 47% from the field and 42.5% from deep last year so an improvement on those numbers would not be an easy task. It’ll also be tough to top the 3.5 3-pointers a game as one-third of the Splash Fam.
