Klay Thompson scored 25 points on 9-of-21 shooting (3-of-10 3PTs, 4-of-7 FTs) with three rebounds, two steals and one block in the Warriors’ Game 6 loss to the Cavs on Thursday.
Thompson missed free throws, had some regrettable drives to the hoop and one particularly bad three in which he bypassed a layup to run to the corner and chuck up a bad miss. Outside of that he was sturdy on both sides of the ball and he’s the runaway Warriors MVP for these playoffs. And if the Warriors win he’ll be the right choice for MVP, even if LeBron goes off or Klay is terrible and one of the other Warriors steps up in Game 7. He’s defending Kyrie Irving and has constantly been a rock for the Warriors while Steph Curry and Draymond Green have struggled in these playoffs.
