The Lakers selected Brandon Ingram with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft.
Ingram started slowly last season at Duke, but really picked it up as the season closed. He finished his lone college season with averages of 17.3 points, 2.2 treys, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists on 44.2% shooting from the field. What stands out is the fact that he was a 41% shooter from deep, chipping in with 1.1 steals and 1.4 blocks. His ability to contribute in treys and defensive stats makes him a potential fantasy star down the line. As for next season, he should be taken in the late-rounds with the understanding that it’s very difficult as a high-end draft pick in Los Angeles. See: D’Angelo Russell.
