• LeBron James was named Finals MVP and scored 27 points on 9-of-24 shooting (1-of-5 3PTs, 8-of-10 FTs) with 11 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals and three blocks in the Cavs’ Game 7 win over the Warriors.

This was one of sports’ greatest comebacks and LeBron gave one of the great sporting performances of all time in this series.  There are countless plays that we could discuss and we will discuss in the days, weeks, months and years ahead, but they all pointed to a player whose presence dwarfed a 73-win basketball team — playing in the vaunted Oracle Arena — in what may have been the most dynamic version of the King we’ve ever seen.  That this performance is attached to the championship drought that Cleveland has gone through and with all of the backstory surrounding James and his relationship with Ohio, it’s going to be hard to top this story in any sport for a very long time.
